With great zeal, Crespi Carmelite High School announces Brad Vonnahme as Head Football Coach. Brad has a vast amount of experience coaching all aspects of football. He began his career as a student manager for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and has coached at Wayne State College, Midland University, University of Hawaii, Utah State, University of Sioux Falls, and Fresno State. He was most recently in charge of Defensive Quality Control for the 2022 Mountain West Conference Champion Fresno State Bulldogs, who will play Washington State at SoFi Stadium on December 17.
Originally from the Midwest, Brad is a product of K-12 Catholic education. Brad is a proud graduate of an all-boys Catholic High School so he will be right at home at Crespi. Brad has an MA from Wayne State College and a BA from Utah State. Coach Vonnahme adds, "My family and I are humbled and honored to be joining the Crespi community. As a graduate and former football player of an all-boys college prep school, I am familiar with the unique experience of being a student-athlete at an academically prestigious institution like Crespi. I would like to thank Dr. Foersch, Dr. Joyce, and Mr. Bilek for this exciting opportunity. Go Celts!"
What coaches are saying about Brad:
“I was in the coaching profession for 42 years, and Brad is one of the brightest young stars I have seen in a long time. He has the skills to coach the finer points of the game, but more importantly, he will teach the young men how to manage themselves in the biggest game – life.”
-Pat Hill, Celt and Former Head Football Coach
“Coach Vonnahme understands leadership, discipline, and intelligence and how athletics and football is a great avenue to teach life lessons. He is a great coach and guy that will do a terrific job for the Celts.”
